As our state seeks to balance its budget, drastic changes to Medicaid are up for discussion. No question – We can and should do better.
But one thing is for certain: The state cannot balance its budget on the backs of its neediest residents. Other solutions exist, like expanding the hospital assessment program and closing loopholes to ensure the best care is provided to those most in need. We’re on board with those.
