Wound Clinic: The would clinic provides a comprehensive quality team approach to wound healing. The experienced staff offers an individualized evaluation and treatment approach,  with the goals of complete healing, limb preservation, and improved quality of life. The wound clinic offers quality wound healing modalities and services to provide the best practice and positive experience for our customers. The wound clinic treats on an outpatient basis all types of wounds: diabetic foot wounds, neuropathy, venous stasis, peripheral vascular disease, non-healing post traumatic wounds, decubitus ulcers, and non-healing post-operative wounds.

Physician Specialty Center:  Located on the first floor of the Norwegian American Hospital Professional Office Building, the Physician Specialty Center offers the community a wide variety of medical specialties,  including Pediatric Cardiology, Podiatry, Endocrinology, Neurology, Gastroenterology, Hematology, Oncology, Orthopedics, Rheumatology, and many more.

Emergency Room:  Equipped with leading edge technology, Norwegian American Hospital's Emergency Department is ready to respond to the emergency medical needs of the community. As one of Chicago’s busiest emergency departments, we treat nearly 30,000 medical emergencies a year. The staff is trained to provide a full range of medical care for patients of all ages with all types of medical problems, from minor illnesses and injuries to life-threatening emergencies.

Same Day Surgery Unit: Norwegian American Hospital offers a full range of ambulatory surgeries for the convenience of patients needing minor surgical procedures which require some degree of anesthesia. These patients can be treated in Norwegian American Hospital’s Surgery Unit and in most cases, will be released the same day. Respiratory Care Services: For most people, breathing is second nature. But for those who suffer from breathing problems caused by injury or illnesses such as asthma, emphysema and bronchitis, each breath can be a major accomplishment. Our respiratory department offers care to people with breathing problems caused by injury or disease, as well as services to skilled nursing facilities and businesses. This department offers inpatient and outpatient services to diagnose and treat breathing disorders and help you breathe easier.

 

Physical Therapy: The Physical Therapy Department provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services. This department treats neuromuscular, orthopedic, and other medical conditions, including loss of function, muscular weakness, and restricted range of motion. Our highly trained staff utilizes numerous therapeutic modalities, manual therapies, exercise programs, and home-based instruction to give our patients the finest in care.
