Welcome to Norwegian American Hospital, a quality healthcare institution serving Chicago’s West Side. While you or your loved ones are patients in or visitors to our hospital, we will strive to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We would like to assure you that you will be treated with superior care and compassion by our skilled medical staff.

Visiting Hours: Norwegian American Hospital encourages family members to visit their loved ones, for such visits further the healing and recovery process.  Therefore, we have a 24 hours a day,  7 days a week visiting hour policy.  However, due to the sensitive nature of certain clinical units, some restrictions may be set for the safety of visitors and patients alike. Please contact the hospital operator or unit directly for further information. Also, please note our Friends and Family Check In Policy: Each time a visitor enters the hospital, he or she must obtain a pass from the information desk in the hospital lobby.

Concerns and Questions: The Medical staff and employees of Norwegian American Hospital seek to treat our patients and their families and friends with fairness and concern, recognizing their needs and satisfying them to the extent possible.  If you have any questions, comments, or concerns that you would like to make known, please call us at (773) 292-8200 and the operator will direct you to the appropriate manager.
