Norwegian American Hospital Your premier destination for obstetrics and gynecology services
For more than 100 years, Norwegian American Hospital (NAH) has been the premier destination for the delivery of Chicago-area babies. Over the years, many area residents have been born in our hospital and will proudly say that, but there is a reason why. Patients who come into our hospital feel they receive a level of personalized care and support in their language, with bicultural, bilingual doctors and nurses, which makes a significant difference in our patient experience, as they start their journey to motherhood.
In addition, Norwegian American Hospital has among the lowest overall C-section rates in the state, with approximately 25% when compared to rates as high as 32% for surrounding hospitals—even lower than the state average. In fact, we consistently report among the lowest infection rates in the state. As a community hospital strongly committed to our mission and after more than 120 years we can proudly say our services are only getting better.
